LOCATION OF YOUTH ROOM

Enter through door under the porte cochere (south side of building across from Joe Gibson).

Turn right and go upstairs to enter the newly refurbished Youth Room.

PURPOSE

Vertical Relationship: To fall more deeply in love with God through worship and biblical instruction.Horizontal Relationship: To love one another more deeply through fellowship, evangelism, and service.

MINISTRY DISTINCTIVES

1. Supports, encourages, and, if necessary, trains parents in their God-directed roles as spiritual leaders.
2. Provides godly men and women who can play mentoring roles to students.
3. “Lightly Scheduled” so as not conflict with family times.
4. Does not promote fun, games, and programs over meaningful relationships, biblical instruction and worship.
5. Welcomes parents as part of the ministry.
6. Luby’s Cafeteria approach to ministry.

Our purpose is to get students to walk as Christ followers while being in the world but not of the world. To accomplish that goal, it requires them to be involved in many activities outside the church walls. We recognize all students cannot be involved in every event; therefore, our ministry provides a “cafeteria” type of schedule from which students and parents can choose

BASIC WEEKLY SCHEDULE

Sunday

9:15am Bible Study

Age and gender specific small groups meet and share as an adult volunteer helps guide them through Scripture.

10:30am Worship

6:00pm Worship

Wednesday
6:00pm CrossTalk
Large group time when all students gather in Youth Room for a time of hanging out, worshiping, and teaching. Jr. High students come early to play games, etc. Afterwards, high school students go to a local pizza restaurant for food and fellowship.

Thursday
6:30am BowDown
Students meet for light breakfast and a time of prayer.
