OPPORTUNITIES
Our Music Ministry at Ridgecrest is focused on engaging the congregation in TRUE Worship (John 4).  We define Worship as "Our response to God's revelation of who He is and what He has done". We worship for an Audience of One. We use a number of musical "styles" in the process of worshiping God, but we also use a variety of methods, such as music (singing and instrumental), praying, meditating, reading scripture, giving, serving, loving, etc.  It's not our goal to leave our Sunday services felling like we had "good worship", because Worship is not about us, or for us…it is for the Almighty, Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent God…the King of the Heavens and the Earth!  It is for Him, to Him, and about Him!  We believe that this is what God's word teaches about Worship, so we invite you to come and worship God together with us.
 
We have the following ministry opportunities available:
 
VOCAL
 
Worship Leadership Team (Choir)
Meets Wednesdays from 7:00 - 8:15 PM in the Worship Center for a time of rehearsal and worship
This group leads worship on Sunday mornings during morning worship. We're always looking for new voices to join the group. No audition required. If you love God and desire to lead others in worship, come join us!  Childcare is provided.
 
Praise Team
Meets Wednesdays from 6:00 - 8:15 PM in the Worship Center along with the Band to rehearse and refine the music planned for the next week.
This group leads out in front on Sunday mornings and is pulled from the Worship Leadership Team.  The purpose of the Praise Team is to more actively engage the congregation on Sunday mornings, and to encourage the vocal and musical talents of the team members.  Each member receives more personal training and attention as they work on vocal parts and techniques together each week.
 
INSTRUMENTAL
 
Praise Band
Meets Wednesdays from 6:00- 8:15 PM in the Worship Center
This group leads worship on Sunday mornings and some Sunday evenings. Must have experience playing and ability to read chord charts.
 
We're looking for brass, woodwind, percussion, guitar, & keyboard players to build upon our current band or add backups. Must be a dedicated follower of Jesus Christ, living a life that reflects the character of Christ, and be experienced with your instrument.  Even if it's been years since you've picked your instrument up, we are very patient, and will help you rediscover the talent that you once had, and develop it to a new level.  Even if you can't commit to EVERY Sunday, we have some instrumentalists who rotate in and out using an established schedule, so don't let that stop you.  We want to provide opportunity for many to use the gifts and talents the Lord has given to them.
